Sportsdates is a small app for calling football scores with your people. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and how you stay in control. It is a starting policy to be open with you, not legal advice.
What we collect
We use two analytics tools to understand what helps and what gets in the way. Before you choose, only Google Analytics runs, in the basic cookieless mode described below; Clarity waits for your consent:
- Google Analytics for pageviews and rough usage, so we can see which parts of the app people reach.
- Microsoft Clarity for session analytics, so we can see where the experience snags and fix it. Clarity recordings mask all on-screen text, so they capture how the app is used, not what it shows (no scores, no names, no email).
We only track what helps improve the app, nothing more. We never collect your football calls, your messages, or anything tied to a result.
What Accept and Reject do
Before you choose, Google Analytics runs in a basic, anonymized, cookieless mode that sets no cookies and cannot identify you, and Clarity does not load at all. If you Accept, both tools run in full, including cookies and Clarity session analytics. If you Reject, Google Analytics stays in that basic cookieless mode and Clarity never loads. If you had accepted and later reject, we switch Google Analytics back to cookieless and reload the page so Clarity stops. Either way, the choice is yours and it sticks.
Cookies
We store your tracking choice in your browser so we can respect it on every visit. Google Analytics sets its own cookies only after you Accept. In the anonymized Reject mode it sets none.
No selling, no sharing
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. No personal information is passed on for anyone else to profit from.
Where your data lives
Your account and app data are stored with Supabase in their Mumbai region. Analytics data sits with Google and Microsoft under their own terms for the tools above.
Changing your mind
You can change your tracking choice at any time with the manage tracking link in the footer. It reopens the same Accept or Reject choice, and the new choice applies right away.
